I read The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett yesterday. I'd listened to it as an audiobook before, but as any devoted bibliophile knows: reading it with your own eyes is an entirely different thing. This passage made my heart ache and sing:
"The wheels of stars and years, of space and time, locked into place. She knew exactly where she was, and who she was, and what she was...'Now I know why I never cried for Granny,' she said. 'She has never left me.'"
